From the onset of meeting Cheryl, one word comes to mind. Wow. Her youthful good looks, quick smile and warmth would be the first impression, followed quickly by her professionalism, intelligence and passion for her industry, which has led to the continuing growth and success of Pantages over the past 25+ years. Due to the progressive nature of the business, Cheryl doesn’t get to spend as much time on the floor with guests as she once did, but once she does, it is a joy to behold. Her service excellence, guest relations and skill are a testament to her continuous education attendance, love of her career and ability to customize a revitalized look for all of those privileged to sit in her chair. Her styles can appeal to young and classic alike, very textured to smooth and bold, she can do it all. Cheryl is a strong believer in education, inspiration and professional growth. This is evident with her attendance to all seminars and industry events, as well as sponsoring staff in their pursuit of knowledge, skill and refinement, and keeping her staff busy with extra training, competitions and growth opportunities. Her ability to build a strong, team oriented staff together ensures a harmonious relationship between management, staff and guests. Amanda
Salon Co-ordinator and Booking Specialist.
An ultra-efficient organizer (slightly OCD), task manager for guests and staff, she is every business owners dream. Calm and collected, she can ensure a staff of 20 stay organised, happy and on task, while charming all that she greets, working hard to reach an understanding, and coordinate their bookings based on their needs. Not only is Amanda extremely dedicated to the fluid running of the Pantages Salon and Spa, she is also extremely learned in regards to salon and spa services, with most (including other professionals) convinced she has received training in the craft. She interacts with all guests personally, has been known to educate/inspire some with current trends, fashion and styles. She actively seeks open communication with everyone, therefore excels at group, wedding party and special occasion bookings, with an eye for detail and those special touches. Amanda joined the team in 2006, and has really made her role in the salon, a unique one. She took a year off to travel in 2009, and returned as passionate as ever. She truly is the ultimate Pantages girl, with a strong commitment to inspire, educate and promote beauty, health, community and environment.
Margo
Elite Stylist.
Audrey Hepburn classic with a twist of fun, Margo is a fusion of Vidal Sassoon and Tigi styling! Her caring and charismatic nature, coupled by a creative and outgoing nature, she is just so much fun to be around. Margo loves hair. 25+ years in the industry, and she is still passionate, inspiring all with her individualized, and personalized short haircuts, she truly is a specialist in her field. Of course she is highly skilled in all areas of hairdressing, but she is renowned for her shoulder to short styles… Each guest leaves feeling revitalized with the perfect cut and colour combination for their hair type, from relaxed to textured, bold to blended; Margo creates unique looks current with fashions and trends for the season. Her elegant manner and quiet demeanour, combined with her highly creative streak, applied not only to hair, make her an interesting, yet relaxing companion. And when she’s not in the salon, she is creating more beauty, within her community, in her garden, and in every day dealings…
Paulette
Elite Stylist
One of the most interesting people to ever meet. Unique, bright, inspirational. Hairdressing for over 25 years, highly artistic Paulette chose her career while travelling (something else she is passionate for), and has continued to inspire and delight with her area of expertise –Attitude Adjustment. Only a hairstyle away, she will interpret styles and industry trends to redefine the true you. Paulette chose hairdressing, a perfect industry for one so social, so that she could continuously strive for new directions, growth, inspirations, techniques and ability to travel. Award winning in both colour and cutting competitions, she truly is World class standard. Paulette is a Vivienne Mackinder inspired stylist, where great style is not enough. It’s the entire package. Kim
Director Stylist
Having just started her career in hairdressing in 1999, Kim has already achieved international recognition, representing Canada in Milan, Italy, during the World Championships for Hairdressing. Kim has competed extensively, enjoying the creative expression that her profession allows. Kim has lived and worked in various provinces throughout Canada in an effort to increase her knowledge, ability and professional growth. Apon returning to Brandon, to be closer to family, Kim has been hard at work developing multidimensional, multilayered, interchangeable styles that have since become her signature. Her ability to tailor her designs to accentuate and flatter her guest’s individual style means no two looks are the same. Her own style she defines as Neoclassic with a twist, or retro romantic, blended seamlessly with current colour and cutting trends. Constantly seeking new sources of education, techniques and continued passion, Kim is not only a highly skilled stylist; she is a phenomenal mentor to others in the team.
Sasha
Director Stylist
Beginning her career in ’97, as a stylist and educator in Brandon, she is a consummate professional. Sasha moved to Pantages as, true her personality, she enjoys a fast paced environment with interesting social interactions. Sasha is always on the go, and extremely focused. She is consistently developing new skills, seeking new trends, and meeting new people, with a smile on her face and something to share. Extremely skilled in colour correction and multi-tonal designs, Sasha loves the innovations, designs and industry developments her career brings. Her personal style is natural, easygoing and casual, which is mirrored in her designs, simply beautiful – yet easy to maintain and style. Sasha loves to create, and has a definite eye for style when building wedding styles, or Up do’s. Her looks are highly sensual and feminine, yet fashionably functional, she truly enhances a person’s natural beauty. Family is extremely important to Sasha, and she has a tendency to nurture those in her presence, building caring relationships with those in her presence, guests and workmates included. With a quick sense of humour and highly compassionate, she is highly regarded both personally and professionally.
Marlyne
Director Stylist
Marlyne began her career as a stylist in 1991, with a love of creativity, beauty and socializing! She loves socializing with her guests, making them feel extremely welcome in our salon while creating chic and controlled styles to complement the style and culture of the seasons. Known for her wearable shapes, and beautiful hues, Marlyne is constantly striving to give a fresh take on beautiful styles, to uniquely cater to her guest’s features, individual requirements and personality. Her skill set incorporates all traditional styling skills, including perming, highlighting and cutting, although she particularly enjoys Men’s cutting and Women’s restyling, enjoying the challenge of designing a revitalized look for her guest. Marlyne places a high importance on service excellence, and works hard to build a true relationship with her guest, to ensure harmony and clear communication. She delivers beautifully balanced and carefully constructed shapes that are simple in nature, yet delivering a visual impact. When not at work, Marlyne would be found always on the go, spending time with her family, gardening and drawing, constantly seeking inspiration, and harmony.
Kirsten
Director Stylist
Simply stunning, this stylist is beautiful, inside and out. Her own style, elegantly simplistic, coupled with her kind and caring nature, she is passionate about her industry, truly professional in her ability, and considerate to all she interacts with. In regards to design, she could be explained as ‘Modern Chic’, balancing stunning short to shoulder length cutting designs, with edgy, strategically placed, color combinations. Hairdressing since 2000, Kirsten has been involved in all facets of the industry, from session styling, photographic and competition work, to assisting education and delivering mentorship in all areas of hairdressing services, continuously interpreting trends and skills to increase her own skillset and develop her knowledge and craft. Her ability to design and construct hair is phenomenal, and she has consistently upgraded her skill in all areas of the hairdressing industry.
Emmy
Advanced Senior Stylist
Vibrant and fun, Emmy is stylish urban classic chic kind of hairdresser, always eager to flirt with fashion. Hairdressing since 2007, Emmy has quickly become a favoured stylist with a devoted clientele. Her signature is major transformations, creating not just a great style, but a whole package. Passionate about fashion and style progression, Emmy is current on all new fashion trends, techniques and seasonal inspirations, and loves to bring new ideas to the salon. Working with long hair or short, Emmy can find a way to reinvent, whether it’s a big change or small, and you’ll leave wondering why you didn’t try it earlier! Her colour work is precise and poignant, strategically placed or chosen for its colour value. Always striving for higher learning, Emmy is always on ‘the cutting edge’.
Katie
Advanced Senior
Truly inspirational. Not one to follow trends, Katie is ready to start them. Innovative would be one way to describe her, adapting techniques, tools, whatever she can work with, to create movement and light. Loose, wispy, disconnected pixie cuts, to bold asymmetrical lines, Katie expresses her creativity in everything she touches. Working towards becoming an educator for Wella, Katie leads by example, attending all seminars and educationals, in order to bring an improved quality and finish to her work. When not working on her collections, Katie will be designing jewellery to collaborate with her take on vintage clothing, or her makeup artistry. Her style is somewhat random, with a true flair for edgy, polished and completed looks. Definitely a forward thinker, Katie is going to be setting the industry standards, and will be a role model for many years to come. Maryke
Advanced Senior Stylist
If you want Blonde, long hair, then this is your stylist. Sure she is brilliant at all the other stuff too, men’s cuts, women, color changes… But blonde highlight, full colour blonde, blonde correction and hair extensions are her forte. Flirty fashion sense, she is girly chic with a classic touch, creating volumous shapes, dreamy wispy tendrils and softer styles are her style. Her men’s cuts have a touch of retro business, with clean lines, and a textured finish. Always fashionable, Maryke constantly updates her look, and is always knowledgable about the fashion trends that inspire our industry, with an ability to bring the latest looks into the salon, and add her own edge. She is constantly striving for the perfect hairdo, and approaches all guests with the view of designing a better, more cohesive look for their lifestyle. Always happy and upbeat, you can’t help but smile when in her company.
Melissa
Advanced Senior Stylist
‘Missy’, as she is fondly known by teammates and guests alike, is a bundle of fun. From her entrance to her exit, you know she’s in the room. Hairdressing since 2006, Missy loves the social aspect of hairdressing, combined with the avenue of creativity and design. Loving that she can meet a new person ever hour, and help them realise their own beauty, is what Missy is all about. Specializing in long hair, curly hair and unique colour placements, Missy loves a challenge. Adept in all areas of the salon services, she has chosen to specialise in the more challenging genres. She loves nothing better than to reinvent or improve on a look, just to see the happiness of her guest as they quickly become regulars. Her sassy personality and good humour make her a favourite with guests, alongside her caring demeanour and excellence customer service. A fantastic hairdresser, she will definitely keep you laughing!
Jill
Director Stylist
Hairdressing since 2006, Jill is one striking stylist. Her personal look can be defined as untraditional, unique, vintage, rock glam, and has the amazing ability in looking great in all of them. Her skills are superb, with clean colours, stunning results, great definition, and professional execution. With a keen eye for fashion and trends, Jill’s skills behind the stylists chair are fantastic. Known for technical flair with men’s styles, she can add a twist of fun to any short hair style, or soften the edges of a midlength cut to create versatility, while still maintaining its polish. Jill highlighting, adds definition and effect to all of her creations, adding emphasis to the shape or texture of a cut, adding a unique touch to enhance the overall appeal. Highly educated and definitely creative, Jill skills will benefit the adventurous guest.
Lindsay
Intermediate Stylist
Hairdressing since 2007, Lindsay is a gifted stylist with a true grasp on customer service. When asked why she chose hairdressing as a career, she simply states she wanted to “work in a field where you can make a difference in how people feel about themselves”. Classic yet modern, Lindsay balances beautiful, luminous blondes, with sensual shorter styles. While known for her other varied colour expertise, and her ability to work with any hair type, it is the condition and finish of the hair, that has made it her signature. Currently working part time, Lindsay is a favourite with guests and is able to connect with all personality types, hair and service requirements. Multi levelled skills and ability; she is able to cater for all of your hairdressing needs.
Kayla
Advanced Nail Tech/Intermediate Stylist
Graduating as a Nail Technician in 2007, Kayla moved toward hairdressing, finishing her schooling to become a stylist in 2010. Spontaneous and fun, she is extremely creative, and extremely detail oriented. Kayla continues to work within both beauty genres, enjoying the varied mediums to work with, and is both professional and gifted. Her classic chic style is always simply elegant, where as her work may be quiet to flamboyant, depending on the wishes of her guest, and their individual style. Always eager to please, Kayla is a fast favourite with guests, and is represented by a solid rebooking clientele. Kayla stays inspired by attending numerous educationals in both beauty and hair, working continuously on her skillset, and developing her portfolio. Recently she became certified as a Medical Grade Pedicurist, as well as regularly receiving certifications with our salon color lines. Kayla is a perfectionist in all that she attempts, and is always seeking self-satisfaction in all of her endeavours.
Ashley
Intermediate Stylist
Hairdressing since 2009, our ‘Junior’ staff has quickly become extremely busy. Ashley has quickly build a clientele, working as a multifaceted stylist, earning her stripes particularly in the areas of men’s cutting, multi-dimensional long hair hues and formal event Up do’s. Ashley’s own style is laid back, with a fresh spin to an urban look. Ashley’s hairdressing skills are similar, seamlessly styling between a classic cute with a funky edge, to cuts that can be styled multiple ways. She enjoys the versatility hairdressing brings, with both cutting and colouring combinations. Ashley is as eager about hairdressing, as she is with the other activities she loves, happily alternating time off with attending seminars, and winter sports or camping.
Crystal
Nail Technician
Crystal is a Master class Nail technician, having completed her training in Edmonton in 2006. Always dressed in relaxed business attire her manner is polished and professional. Extremely down to earth, Crystal has an eye for detail, and enjoys bringing ‘luxury’ to her guests. Technically a perfectionist, she is also extremely creative, and enjoys being able to accomplish unique designs. Currently working part time, she is extremely busy with guest services, and has a loyal following. Studying Business as well as working with our team, Crystal is efficient and precise. Fantastic customer service, if you want to come in and relax with a happy and caring individual, come and see Crystal.
Jodie
Junior Nail Technician/Reception
Very enthusiastic and eager to please! New to Pantages, she is focusing her efforts on manicures and pedicures, and having a lot of fun with the creativity that OPI Axxium products allow. Spending time between Spa and Reception, she’s available daily for consultations and appointments. Come on in and book and appointment.
Tasha
Aesthetician
In 2008 Tasha qualified in Esthetics, and since then, has quickly developed her skills and clientele. Brilliant for customizing facials, she will attend to your needs and ensure you are informed and content. Outgoing in character, and very respectful, Tasha will strive to bring you comfort and relaxation during body treatments, and her manner will help to reduce the sometimes awkward moments of body waxing. Known for all aspects of Esthetics services, she will wow you with her foot care, release tense muscles during a massage. Even enduring hair removal you’ll end up with minimal redness… Working at the spa full time, you’ll be happy you’ve booked.

New to our team, with years of experience, Britney is a perfectionist in all that she does. Working in Brandon for many years, we are delighted to welcome her to the Pantages family. Qualified in all areas of beauty, skin fitness, and personal grooming and esthetic instruction, Britney will impress with her service excellence and creative flair. Britney has received rave reviews about her treatments, as she becomes acquainted with our spa regulars.

Jaylene began her studies of Esthetics in 2007 in Vancouver, with a specialty in Makeup Artistry. And Art it sure is. With a background in photographic, bridal, Avant Garde, evening and natural, Jaylene can cater to young and old, whatever the occasion. Jaylene is as creative with her own style, as she is with her makeup applications, always finishing her outfits with great accessories or cute shoes! The same dedication to the finishing touches is also applied to her work. As a fully qualified Esthetician, she is professional, dedicated and highly skilled. Regarded as a waxing specialist, she will you make you comfortable, regardless of the awkwardness usually associated. With minimal redness, she will have you looking your best.

Excited to be in the industry, Kristyn brings an eager-to –please attitude to the salon. Outgoing, with a friendly persona, she is happy to offer a variety of services from makeup application to relaxation massage. She also has a passion for gel nails, creating patterns and designs for all tastes. She also specializes in eyebrow and brazilian waxing. It has been my privilege to meet the team, and view the expertise and passion they exhibit for their craft. I have been professionally hairdressing since 1995, owned a highly successful salon, competed and travelled extensively worldwide in order to continuously grow within my profession, as well as a person. My time spent with the Pantages Crew has been extremely rewarding, and it is easy to understand the shear levels of success Cheryl has attained, with her likeminded staff, determination and continued education.
