Born and raised in South Africa, Maryke and her family immigrated to Canada in 2000. She became a Canadian citizen in 2009 and settled down in Brandon as her new home town. Maryke brings 15+ years of experience and spice to the salon. As co-owner of Pantages, you can find her flying around the salon saying hello and engaging with customers on a daily basis.
Maryke will always make time for new clients and excels in her blonding techniques, so if you are looking for a new spitfire of a stylist, Maryke may be the one for you.
Sasha McCarty is a born and raised Brandon girl with many roots to the city. As the daughter of a well known carpenter, Sasha took to a different trade and began hair school out of high school. She tried her hand at teaching in one of the local beauty schools but realized that her true passion was to be working behind the chair.
Although incredibly busy with her business and family, Sasha is always welcoming new clients to sit in her chair.
Pantages was established in 1984 where it was built and grown at the hands of its original owner until 2013 when Sasha and Maryke purchased it together as co-owners.
Through the years, it has grown to a group of 20+ staff members.
Pantages has always been one of Brandon’s top salons by keeping up with new trends, excelling in continual education for the staff and always keeping a positive environment for both staff and customers. Pantages is one of the country's top ten sellers in brands such as Wella, and Eminence. It also carry brands such as Aveda, Joico, Unite, Loma, Olaplex, and Shibui.
Pantages offers both hair and spa services and are always welcoming and accepting to new clients.
